Help & setup

Set up your medical NFC tag

Your emergency profile in about 5 minutes. No app needed.

⏰ Set it up today, before you wear it or clip it to a bag. Until you save a profile, the first person to tap the tag gets to create it and choose the PIN.

1 Tap the tag

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. Hold the tag against your phone's NFC spot: iPhone top edge, near the front camera. Android the back, around the middle. See pictures.
  3. A page called Emergency Profile opens in your browser.

2 Fill in your profile

Only your name is required. Add what would help someone in an emergency: medical conditions, allergies or medications, and one or two emergency contacts.

👀 Anyone who taps your tag can read everything you save, without a PIN. That's how it helps in an emergency. So don't add anything you wouldn't want a stranger to read. Only add your home address if it really helps, for example for someone who may get lost.

Not sure what to write? Read what to put on a medical ID tag.

3 Create your PIN and save

  1. Choose a PIN and type it again to confirm it.
  2. Write your PIN down somewhere safe. You'll need it to change anything later.
  3. Tap Save Profile.

4 Test it

Tap the tag again. You should see your profile with a Call button for each emergency contact. 🎉

Changing your information

  1. Tap the tag and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Tap Edit Information and enter your PIN.
  3. Make your changes, enter your PIN again and tap Save Changes.

Forgot your PIN?

Tap your tag, copy the page's web address (it ends in a code like MT-1A2B3C4D) and send it to us. We'll clear the profile so you can set it up again from the start.
