Every tag has a small NFC chip inside, the same technology used for tap-to-pay. No batteries, no charging.

We print and program it
Your tag is 3D printed to order in Ottawa, programmed and tested, then mailed with simple setup instructions.

Medical details, there when someone needs them

Questions
Do people need an app to tap my tag?
No. Unlock the phone first, then hold its NFC spot near the tag. On an iPhone that's the top edge, near the front camera. On most Android phones it's on the back, usually around the middle. The phone shows a pop-up and opens the link. iPhone XR and newer, and most Android phones with NFC turned on, work without any app.
I tapped and nothing happened. What now?
Check that the phone is unlocked, not just lit up. Then move the phone slowly over the tag, because the NFC spot is in a different place on different phones: the top edge on iPhones, the back on most Android phones, and near the middle on foldables like the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold. On Android, also check that NFC is turned on in Settings. Thick or metal cases and magnetic card holders can block it too. Our How to tap page has pictures.
Can I change what my tag opens later?
Yes, for social, kids, pet, luggage and WiFi tags. The chip is rewritable, so you can point it to a new link or number with a free app such as NFC Tools. Medical tags are different: each has a permanent secure link, and you update the profile itself with your PIN.
Who can see the information on a medical tag?
Anyone who taps the tag can view the profile. That is what makes it useful to a first responder or a stranger helping in an emergency, so only add what you'd want them to see. Changes need your PIN, which is stored as a secure hash, not as plain text.
Will you program the tag for me?
Yes. Social tags have a box for your link. For kids, pet and luggage tags, tick “Program it for me” and we'll email you after your order to collect the contact details. Setup instructions come in every package either way.
How long does my order take?
Made to order. Usually ships in 2 to 4 business days. You'll get an email with tracking if you choose tracked shipping.
Where do you ship?
From this website we ship to Canada and the United States, with tracking on every US order. For other countries, order through our Etsy shop or email us.
Do you fix spelling or capital letters in names?
No. We print exactly what you type, letter for letter, including capitals and spacing. The product page shows a preview of your text as you type it. Please check it carefully, because we can't refund or remake orders that were printed as typed.
Can you make a custom design or colour?
Often, yes. Email us with what you have in mind, including logos for businesses or a colour that isn't on the chart.
